Coaching
LearningWork Connection offers a range of organization-building services and resources that help youth-serving organizations do their work more effectively. Creating connections among people and making information easy to use are hallmarks of our coaching expertise.
We know reaching positive outcomes for youth takes time. That is why coaching goes beyond consultation; we build long-term relationships to better serve organizations. From strategic planning to specific tool development, we provide hands-on, one-on-one assistance to help organizations meet the needs of their youth.
Event Planning
LearningWork Connection specializes in finding benchmark resources – practitioners, program developers, etc. – and bringing them together for the benefit of attendees. Whether you are hosting a local, statewide or national event, and you need facility, registration, or program management, we provide full-service event planning and facilitation.
We currently host events for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Office of Workforce Development ranging from training workshops for as few as 12 youth-serving professionals to statewide conferences for 500 adults and youth. Whether it is a one-day leadership event for youth, regional workshops, or statewide conferences, we have the connections and experience to make the most of your event.
Managing Statewide Initiatives
It takes a certain personality to manage large initiatives, especially those that include multiple projects, numerous partners, large budgets and aggressive timelines. LearningWork Connection has an entire team with those personality traits making us an asset to any organization implementing national, statewide or local initiatives.

Policy Development

Resource Mapping
Identifying a community’s assets and resources – from buildings and programs to people and funding opportunities – is a key component of successful youth development. Resource mapping identifies gaps in and duplications of such assets, enabling a community to allocate its resources for the greatest need.
LearningWork Connection provides leadership and support to organizations and communities performing resource mapping focusing on the development of measurable short-, mid- and long-term outcomes. While we do not perform the mapping activity itself, we help the leaders in a community develop a mapping project that works for them.
System-Building
When serving youth, organizations implementing programs are not always able to meet all the needs of those youth served. LearningWork Connection can bring organizations together to assist in developing a cohesive system for the effective implementation of youth programming. The system-building process assists state and local leaders and providers in building capacity at the state and local levels to address youth development and youth workforce development needs and to implement and evaluate evidence-based programs and services.
LearningWork Connection links people with the knowledge to build an effective youth system. Through technology and expert consultation, LWC delivers key information and practices to prepare all youth for success in school, career and community.
Training Development and Facilitation
Workshops help administrators drive commitment and involvement across their organizations, while providing professional guidance and interactive techniques that offer opportunities for administrators and youth workers alike to practice and build knowledge.
LearningWork Connection’s curriculum developers can create customized training to meet professional development goals. Not only can our trainers facilitate training we custom develop, but they also facilitate meetings for organizations including strategic planning sessions, resource mapping, and logic model development.
